About Me
Susanna Banks (b.1990) graduated from University of Ulster in 2012 with a first class BA(hons) Degree in Fine Art. She was awarded the Laura Irvine Memorial Prize for Painting and Experimentation in Colour, and was Artist in Residence 2012/13 in the University of Ulster. To date she has exhibited in various group and solo shows which include University of Ulster (2013); Dundonald Library, Belfast (2013); Engine Room Gallery, Belfast (2014; 2012); Contemporary Christianity Offices, Belfast (2012); Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast (2012); Arboury Gallery, Bangor (2010); Canvas Galleries, Belfast (2010); and Ards Arts Centre, Newtownards (Aug 2007;July 2014; Aug 2014). Her first major solo show was in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast (Dec 2013), she has also had solo shows in Sunburst Gallery, Ards Arts Centre (July 2014) and a solo show in Haptik, Newtownards (2015).
Susanna predominantly works in oils but also displays some of her painted drawings i.e. mixed media on paper and prints. She recently married fellow artist, ceramicist Chris Banks in July 2013.
