I paint 'stories' about my life's happenings, my faith and doubt by combining childish motifs with painterly sophistication.
My paintings are abstracted narratives. They are about faith and doubt. They are about colour and paint. They are abstract yet recognisable. They are filled with childish motifs but tackle adult themes. These ‘stories’ are often deeply personal. But they are also for the viewer. They stem from personal experience, memory and biblical narrative. They stem from a love of pain and colourt.
I'm interested in the shapes and stories that the viewer finds within my work.
